Enterprise Consultant for the Agile Enterprise Services Team models and expands the organization’s Agile/Lean framework. This role is responsible for independently utilizing strong facilitation skills to help ensure the organizations project and operational initiatives support the organization’s business strategy including a focus on cost / impact initiatives and operational end-to-end process optimization. Provide leadership, direction, and strategic counsel, while using strong program management and Agile methodologies to plan, lead, and motivate stable teams to achieve the organization's business strategy. Works with stakeholders to create information radiators to depict progress, dependencies, risks and impediments across teams. This role will be instrumental in the formation and sustainment of Agile and Lean practices throughout the enterprise, through formal and informal instruction, curriculum development and consultation with multiple departments.

What you'll do:

• Model and Expand the organizations Agile/Lean framework by partnering with peers to create curriculum and deliver training and education to enterprise stakeholders. Articulate the skills, knowledge and mindsets of Agile. Be open to feedback, and continuous growth and learning.

• Lead by serving others; includes active listening, awareness, stewardship, commitment to growth of people, building community, and positive regard.

• Facilitate cross functional team sessions that include mapping, brainstorming, conflict/issue resolution, prioritization, retrospectives as well as other Agile ceremonies at the department, team, and enterprise levels. Be flexible to actively support and follow agile standards and best practices, as well as evolve as needed by the enterprise. Provide context and clarity to the organization at all levels.

• Partner with business functional areas and stable teams to coordinate, plan, and support execution of technical and business initiatives that support the organization’s strategic objectives in a manner that facilitates tactical interaction at all levels of the organization. Collaborate to achieve common goals by sharing ideas and skills, as well as creating the environment for others to do the same.

• Be organized in a way that orchestrates the enterprise defining objectives, and be mindful of how to incorporate repeatable processes where possible to allow for efficiency. Provide visibility into the enterprise framework, value stream and process cost data to leadership to facilitate understanding of the true cost of business, and to target inefficient processes that affect strategic objectives for improvement.

•  Independently facilitates enterprise teams that prioritize and align corporate resources with enterprise strategy.

•  Creates and maintains artifacts to visualize and roll-up progress of key departmental, cross-functional and stable team objectives to the enterprise’s strategic objective tracking artifacts, including but not limited to velocity/capacity models, burn up/down charts and Kanban.

•  Creates, leads, and facilitates mechanisms to reconcile departmental, cross-functional, and stable team objectives and goals to the enterprises strategic objectives and implements and adjusts communication plans based on information and audience.

•  Facilitates enterprise prioritization, execution and the removal of impediments that are preventing departmental, cross-functional and stable teams, as well as the enterprise from meeting goals. Provide clarity, visibility and transparency around cross-functional work and the ability to accomplish it.

•  Tracks, communicates, and visualizes dependencies amongst various teams at the departmental, cross-functional, and stable team levels.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree and seven (7) years of relevant business, portfolio, program, or project experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement.
  • Knowledge of Agile roles, artifacts & ceremonies
    Demonstrated leadership in tactical & strategic execution
    Experience with Stakeholder Management
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

 

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Change Management experience
  • CSM, CPO, PMI-ACP and Lean certifications are a plus
  • Health Insurance experience is a plus
