The Software Release Coordinator is responsible for establishing the standards and policies necessary to manage multiple software and application releases throughout a progressive environment structure. This role will collaborate across all lines of business and multiple technical teams to ensure the successful coordination of configuration deployments, acceptance of completed validation, various internal and external points of integration and deployment of varying both internal and vendor software releases. The Software Release Coordinator will recommend and implement continuous process improvements. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise with excellent communication skills and strong project management background.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinates activities necessary for the implementation of software releases across multiple applications and third party vendors as well as production configuration changes to multiple environments in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for release and deployment documentation and communication across all lines of business including status meetings to monitor release progress, risk/issue logs, dependency logs, change control logs, backout plans.
  • Develops templates, procedures, processes and standards and environmental flows to align all teams within the program, environmental readiness, staffing, entrance/exit criteria and manages adherence to defined practices, standards and flows.
  • Establishes environmental framework for varying release types as well as release policy and ensures all releases comply with established framework and policy.
  • Validates environments are accurate and ready for identified releases. Monitors release and coordinates implementation verification to ensure the release is performing as required.
  • Identifies and reports release related issues. Manages post-implementation communication, root cause analysis to identify causes of issues, remediation efforts and preventable procedures.
  • Provides follow up communication and retrospectives.
  • Assesses issues with implementations and recommends and coordinates remediation actions if required s responsible for Release and Deployment schedules across all HealthRules Payor and associated systems.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Experience in Release Management process
  • Broad understanding of project management processes (planning, scheduling, resource tracking)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Administrative duties in a project environment
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement. The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments. The ability to work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) environment
  • Health Insurance experience.
  • Ability to interact with individuals of varying technical abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements
  • Exposure to data processing which should include general knowledge of systems and/or programming.
