Business Process Analyst Programmer II

What you'll do:

1. Design innovative code to reduce manual processes and benefit design technology to improve processes through Microsoft Business applications or imaging / workflow systems.

2. Collaborate with business partners to identify and develop strategic plans for process improvements and system application enhancements to resolve complex issues, improve process efficiencies within Benefits Services workflow.

3. Complete system testing to ensure system applications have a positive impact on all areas

4. Create and evaluate business requirements, procedures/ policies and review specifications for technology, process and workflow enhancements.

5. Design and disseminate documentation and training curriculum for improved processes and system application enhancements.

6. Prepare project analysis and present results of improvement efforts and ongoing performance measures processes to Management Team or other business partners

7. Employees are expected to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.

8. Employees are expected to work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

 

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • 6 months experience with Macros, Quick Keys, or Visual Basic required OR college-level coursework completed in MIS, Programming, Computer Science or related field
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Applications, including Excel and Word is required
  • Microsoft office skills including Excel Macros
  • Design innovative code to enhance system applications to resolve complex issues and improve process efficiencies workflow
  • Analyze existing processes for technology, process and workflow enhancements
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Active participant in Power:4 projects
  • Sufficient documentation and training for end-users
  • System testing
  • Technical ability
  • Analytical thinker

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Associates Degree is desired in Relevant field, Bachelors Degree also a plus
  • 2 years of health insurance industry experience required, with claims processing knowledge preferred Experience with claims and benefit technology functions, information handling, work flow, distributed database development and data management functions a plus
