This role oversees reserving, forecasting, auditing and related activities for all product lines. This role delegates actuarial work to other actuarial staff and works closely with the other actuarial leadership on managing all lines of business.

What you'll do:

  • Manipulate and analyze data using SQL and Excel.
  • Maintain and improve current reserve model.
  • Assist and improve current forecasting process.
  • Work on quarterly and annual statement (Actuarial opinion and Actuarial Memorandum).
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Manage the Actuarial Services department workflows.
  • Prepare and present reports to internal management.
  • Accountable to coach, motivate and provide leadership to direct reports.
  • Serve on cross functional teams to represent actuarial point of view.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Five years of experience in an actuarial role
  • Three years’ experience in the health care industry.  
  •  ASA or near ASA Licensure/Certification.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • One (1) year of prior leadership experience.
  • Experience with advanced modeling for reserves, such as regression and predictive modeling
