The Sales Relationship Consultant will be tasked with expanding sales in targeted markets. The Sales Relationship Consultant builds and maintains excellent before and after sales relationships. They remain updated with the latest information on BCBSNE products and hone their promotional techniques to assist in making sales. Sales Relationship Consultants offer personalized services and build lasting relationships based on trust, honesty and integrity. They help potential customers discover the best solution to ensure that their needs are met and exceeded. Sales Relationship Consultants generally create a wider customer base by providing individual attention to customers, making sales calls to existing and potential clients and constantly seek opportunities to develop sales and marketing techniques. Through creative demonstrations, they educate customers on the best products that suit their needs. Sales Relationship Consultants are generally service oriented, always ensuring that customers feel satisfied with their decision.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Nebraska governmental and quasi-governmental entities for the purpose of securing their accounts
  • To develop and guide a strategy with the senior management team at BCBSNE to successfully win targeted accounts in the government and association sector
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and educate current and potential accounts about BCBSNE products
  • Gather data and provide direction on upcoming sales entities
  • Meet with the decision makers of targeted entities and introduce them to the Sales and other appropriate management team at
  • BCBSNE
  • To work cross functionally with government relations, compliance and legal as they interact with Nebraska officials
  • To attend and represent BCBSNE at business and social functions as needed to further our business interests and exposure

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • 10 + years of experience in a senior sales role specializing in the healthcare or insurance industry
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, public presentation, and persuasion skills
  • Advanced proficiency and understanding of the health care industry and market dynamics and trends for all health care products
  • State of Nebraska Insurance License
