As an Accountant III, you will performance the most complex professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data under minimal supervision. An individual in this role will have a good understanding of the organization's existing accounting practices and the ability to handle most standard issues independently. The ability to use critical thinking & innovation to solve for the most complex accounting issues is key to the success in this role.

What you'll do:

  • Contribute expertise to ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trail balance or financial statements, cost accounting, and bank account reconciliation
  • Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions
  • Significantly contributes knowledge to preparation of periodic "intermediate" or "end products," such as cost reports, trial balances, balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, or statements of sourcing and application of funds
  • Prepares appropriate commentary or explanations relating to report items of particular interest or significance, as requested
  • Conducts any pertinent investigation of accounts.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to complete audits. 
  • Provides mentorship to Accountant I and Accountant II roles

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience
