As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will recruit to fill a variety of job openings for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska to include our 10-15 person "class" hires for Customer Service and Claim's agents in work from home positions throughout Nebraska. High volume experience and excellent organizational skills are crucial for our "class" recruiter position. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a team in a fast paced and goal driven environment.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct recruiting and placement activities for assigned business units across organization.
  • Perform full life-cycle recruiting and act as a candidate advocate and consultant to the hiring manager.
  • Conduct extensive screening on most qualified candidates in order to make a shortlist for hiring manager to choose from.
  • Negotiate offers by partnering with hiring manager, senior management, and others as necessary.
  • Sources candidates through networking, internet postings, university relations, proactive searching on LinkedIn, etc.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to ensure proper support is being provided to the Business.
  • Consult with Legal and Compliance departments as needed.
  • Supports relationships with staffing and contract vendors and partner with HR Operations on the H1-B visa process.
  • Identifies and targets active or passive candidates that could meet the organization's current and future talent needs.
  • Develops a candidate pipeline and maintains relationships through online or in-person networking.
  • Encourages candidate interest in the current or future position to be filled by promoting the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Participates in other special assignments and projects to assist in development of new tools, processes, candidate experience effort, employee brand improvement, or business areas solutions.
  • Participate and occasionally lead assigned work to represent talent acquisition on larger HR projects and workgroups.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience in recruiting and/or HR.
  • Prior work experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience in conducting interviews and negotiating job offers
  • Class recruiting/hiring experience strongly preferred

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Experience using proactive recruiting tools, such as LinkedIn
  • Prior experience interacting with senior management
