BCBSNE is happy to offer four remote, office, and hybrid options for Omaha area employees.  If choosing to work remote, this role can be located in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, Colorado, and Texas.

Under general supervision, leads, develops, implements and administers all compensation programs for the company, including broad based compensation, executive compensation and sales compensation Recommends the design of multifaceted programs that provide a competitive level of pay, motivation and reward to employees that aligns to the compensation philosophy and business objectives by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Develops and leads various compensation projects by developing and leading work teams and resources for the project.  Contributes to the overall compensation strategy by providing various analysis, recommendations and project alignment with a strategic consultative approach. Assist the director by serving as a technical resource and providing various compensation information for the compensation committee of the board.

What you'll do:

1. Execute the compensation strategy and philosophy for the organization through internal and external collaborative partnerships, including market pricing positions, managing all company incentive plans, performing executive compensation analysis and providing effective, sustainable recommendations to the organization that align with the business strategy

2. Provides direction to team members on completing various compensation reports and analysis for management to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, i.e. FLSA regulations and pay equity analysis

3. Provides compensation information for the Board of Directors compensation committee as it relates to agenda materials and reports, including presenting to the board as needed.

4. Provides information on metrics and trends to management to influence strategy.

5. Collaborate with HR Business Partners on compensation initiatives as it relates to the business. i.e. performance management, merit process, job restructures and reorganizations.

6. Design, revise, implement and maintain compensation plan designs/philosophy in collaboration with director, chief sales and talent officer and other stakeholders.

7. Maintain all plan documents on incentive plans. Work with internal audit as needed to review incentive plans for accuracy and compliance of administration.

8. Coordinate salary survey participation, job description, market pricing and various compensation projects with  team members.

 

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business and 5 years experience in Human Resources, with focus on compensation (market pricing strategies, executive compensation, incentive compensation, including sales compensation). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement.
  • The ability to effectively lead projects using project plans, deadlines and managing project resources.
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

HR Professional designation such as CCP and/or SPHR, SHRM-SCP
