Provides a range of consultation services to leaders on the development and implementation of key strategies and human capital initiatives for creating and sustaining a high performing organization. Works collaboratively at organization and division levels to ensure effective change management, cultural development, and performance management processes that address corporate goals and strategies. Creates and implements development programs for all levels of leaders and employees that support the organization’s succession planning objectives and foster a highly effective and engaged culture.

What you'll do:

1. Designs, develops, coordinates, implements, delivers, and evaluates human capital programs that support organization objectives, and are aligned with the organization’s business plan. Including, but not limited to: culture and change management, team effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, performance coaching, succession planning, leadership development, and career planning. 

2. Provides coaching, facilitation, team development, whole systems analysis, and organizational effectiveness services in consultation with senior leaders and managers to implement organization improvement initiatives and assure alignment with the organizations strategic plans. 

3. Partners with the HR Business Partners to ensure alignment and adoption of talent strategies. Including but not limited to: onboarding, employee engagement, and succession planning. 

4. Consults with and establishes training standards, provides instructional design and adult learning expertise, and serves as an organizational effectiveness mentor for training activities conducted by other departments in the organization. 

5. Other duties as assigned 

6. Participates in community activities and represents HR/OE & BCBS to obtain and stay on top of human capital best practices. 

 

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business, or related field.
  • 7 years professional level experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Development and 3 years industry experience in Healthcare/Insurance in a medium to large organization. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems theory and quality improvement processes, principles of customer service, advanced consulting/coaching methods, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, group process facilitation, organizational effectiveness, presentation skills, and project management.
  • Experience conducting needs assessment, validating OE/OD program interventions, and measuring outcomes.
  • Instructional design experience with both instructor led and computer based training.
  • Experience in interpreting and analysis of behavior/personality based assessments for coaching and development. (Rembrandt Advantage, Hogan, DISC, MBTI, Keirsey Temperament, Emergenetics, etc.)
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, e-learning creation tools.
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

The strongest candidates will also possess:

  1. Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, OI Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. CPLP, SPHR or PHR Certifications
  3. Skilled in the use of e-learning course creation and/or multi-media resources and principles (Captivate, Articulate, Go Animate, Powtoons, Storyboard etc.)
