This position is responsible for the coordination of reporting and analytics for assigned clients. This individual will incorporate an understanding of each client’s industry along with local and national market trends as it relates to their employee’s lifestyle and health care experience that ultimately impacts their organization. They are to establish and maintain a relationship with their client's management to develop reliance on BCBSNE's capabilities for providing significant insight that can add value to their business. The individual will collaborate with in-house teams to create strategies through data analytics, research, and contributions from any internal and external available resources or partners.

What you'll do:

  • Analyze membership, cost, and utilization experience for assigned accounts. Work with in-house teams like Pharmacy, Marketing, Clinical Programs and other contacts to develop recommendations and offer solutions.
  • Perform and analyze adhoc reporting requests as needed as well as assisting accounts on use of reporting tools provided.
  • Responsible for information and analysis of assigned accounts, defining, obtaining, and analyzing data, plan benefits, industry and medical trends, and other factors. Coordinate with other departments’ staff to provide reports as needed to the accounts. Consults with client on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis.
  • Keep abreast of accounts’ overall health care and group benefit program design and strategy, including benefits, account structure and contracts for use in evaluating claims experience. As well as assigned accounts’ business objectives; changes in their business/company and monitor utilization changes.
  • Keep abreast of market changes, insurance environment, products, trends, provider network changes and how they impact enrollment and utilization through communications with a variety of internal/external sources.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to accounts’ key executives.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree and three (3) years experience in health care services or in the insurance industry and two (2) years experience in data analysis and information reporting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement.
  • Experience in a position which interfaces with external clients, brokers or consultants
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Health insurance industry experience
