BCBSNE is happy to offer four work designations for our Omaha area employees: 100% in-office, Hybrid – 3 days in office, Hybrid – 2 days in office, 100% remote. If choosing to work remote, this role can be located in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The Innovation Analyst is a cross-functional partner with expertise in key performance indicator (KPI) measurement, data science and primary research methods. As part of the growing Strategy, Insights and Innovation team, this person is responsible for ensuring the business evolves according to strategic and customer needs. Integrity, dependability and relationship-building are essential to success in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Consult with technical and business teams to determine strategic and customer insight needs; build enabling tools to synthesize information from various sources
  • Present concise recommendations to leadership; collaborate with stakeholders to evolve services/offerings to advance strategy and add value to the customer experience
  • Design and execute KPI measurement systems or primary research studies to understand relational, behavioral and operational data; apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Support ad-hoc requests and other duties as assigned

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in research, analytics or strategy and confidence in public speaking
  • Experience supporting measurement projects such as KPI dashboarding or survey efforts
  • Skills in organizing/analyzing data and identifying meaningful patterns

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Health insurance or health care industry knowledge
  • Experience coordinating strategic or customer innovation initiatives
  • Experience with Balanced Scorecard development
  • Skills in data science tools such Power BI, SQL, Azure, Databricks, R, Python or survey software
